Privacy Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

Nutramigo is a nutrition assistant that makes meal plans, helps you keep track of what you eat and answers questions about food. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Questions: support@nutramigo.com.

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address and picture from the way you sign in (email and password, or Google), and the ID our sign-in provider gives you.
  • What you tell us to plan your meals or track what you eat: your goal and, when you share them, your age, sex, height, weight, activity, training, way of eating, allergies and foods you avoid, health conditions you choose to mention (such as diabetes or celiac disease), cooking time, budget and household size.
  • What you do in the app: your meal plans, recipes and grocery lists, your conversations with the assistant, the meals you log (what you ate and its estimated nutrition) and, if you turn them on, your weight entries and meal and daily check-ins.
  • What Amigo remembers about your food and cooking: what you tell it you like or don’t and why, your thumbs up or down on recipes, dishes you swap, meals you often skip and foods you often log. You can see and delete each one in Profile → What Amigo remembers, and turn learning off there.
  • People you plan meals for (Family): the name or nickname and age you give for each person and, when you add them, their allergies, the foods they leave out, like or always eat, their way of eating, the meals they eat from the plan and how much they eat. When you add someone’s allergies you confirm that you’re their parent or guardian, or that they agreed, and we keep when you did. We don’t ask for photos, weights or health conditions of other people, and they never have an account.
  • Meal photos: when you log a meal with a photo, your phone first makes it smaller, which also removes its location and other details stored in the file. The photo is sent to be estimated (again if you add a detail). When you log the meal, we keep a smaller copy with it so you can see it later. Only you can see it.
  • Reminders: if you allow notifications, a push subscription for your device and the hour and time zone you choose.
  • Feedback: what you tell the assistant about Nutramigo itself (what works, what doesn’t, what you’d like), saved with your account so the team can read it and decide what to improve.
  • Beta waitlist: your email address, your goal if you tell us, how you found us (the page or campaign link you came from, the first page you saw on nutramigo.com and the page you signed up on) and, if you tick the box, your agreement to receive product news.
  • Subscription: whether you subscribe and the state of your subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Usage: when you use the assistant’s features (chat, plans, swaps, recipe photos, meal estimates) and how large and costly each request was, to keep costs in check and set fair limits.
  • Technical: basic logs of requests and errors, including device and browser type, to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

  • To make and change your meal plans, keep track of the meals you log, answer your messages, send the reminders you ask for and run your subscription.
  • To confirm your place on the beta waitlist and send your invite, and to send product news only if you asked for it.
  • To keep Nutramigo working and secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To improve Nutramigo, with the feedback you choose to give.

We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.

Who helps us run Nutramigo

We share information only with companies that run parts of the service for us, and only what they need:

  • Auth0 (Okta): sign-in.
  • Stripe: payments, receipts and billing. Stripe may act as the seller of record for your subscription and handles sales tax.
  • OpenAI: writes meal plans and replies, and estimates the meals you log. We send what a request needs, such as your targets, preferences, allergies, your message or the photo of your meal. For a family plan, meal plans are written from each person’s age and food needs, without their names; the assistant knows their names so it can talk with you about them.
  • Cloudflare: delivers the app and our website, makes recipe photos (the photos contain no personal information), checks that sign-ups on our website come from people, not bots (Turnstile), and counts visits to our website without cookies (Web Analytics).
  • Google Cloud: runs the app and stores files and logs.
  • Neon: our database.
  • Resend: sends email, such as your waitlist confirmation and invite, emails about your account (for example when your free weeks end), and a welcome message when you subscribe.
  • Sentry: receives reports of errors in the app in your browser (the page, the error and your browser type), so we can fix them.

We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.

Where your information is stored

In the United States (Google Cloud and Neon, both in Virginia). If you live elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

  • While your account exists. When you delete your account (Profile → Delete my account), we delete your profile, plans, conversations, meal logs, progress, what Amigo remembers, reminders and feedback right away, and cancel and remove your subscription and customer record at Stripe.
  • A meal you log, and its photo, stay until you undo it or delete your account.
  • Removing someone from Profile → Who you plan for deletes what you told us about them right away; deleting your account deletes everyone you added.
  • Stripe keeps the payment records it is required to keep. Our server logs are kept for about 30 days.
  • Usage records are kept for 90 days. If you delete your account sooner, what remains of them is no longer linked to you.
  • A waitlist entry stays until you remove it (every waitlist email has a link) or delete your account.
  • Your sign-in record at Auth0 stays until you ask us to remove it at support@nutramigo.com.

Your choices and rights

  • See and change your details in Profile, or ask the assistant.
  • Turn reminders and tracking off at any time in Profile.
  • Stop waitlist emails, or take yourself off the waitlist, with the link at the bottom of any of them. Emails about your account, such as when your free weeks end, come while you have one.
  • Delete your account at any time in Profile.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it: support@nutramigo.com.

Depending on where you live (for example Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom or California) you may have further rights. We will answer within the time the law requires.

Health information

Health details you choose to share are used only to plan your meals and answer you, and are protected like the rest of your information. Share only what you are comfortable with. Nutramigo gives general nutrition guidance, not medical advice.

The allergies of the people you plan for can be health information too (for example under Washington’s My Health My Data Act). We use them only to make meals that are safe for your table.

Children

Nutramigo is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, use it with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

A parent or guardian can add a child to a family plan. The child never has an account, and Nutramigo shows no calorie numbers, weights or goals for them.

Security

Your information travels encrypted, access to it is limited to the systems and people that need it, and we use providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and we tell you in the app or by email about important changes.
